YOU TRY TO BE IN THE MOMENT, BUT YOUR BODY DOESN’T COOPERATE…AND THE MOOD IS GONE.

If you’re experiencing challenges with achieving or maintaining an erection, avoiding sex out of fear it won’t go “well,” or feeling ashamed about your performance—you’re not alone.

Many men I work with seek out therapy when sex starts to feel more stressful than pleasurable. Maybe things used to work just fine (great, even), but now you're second-guessing yourself. Perhaps you've always felt anxious around sex, but now you’re ready for it to stop interfering with your confidence and relationships. You might’ve tried medication, lifestyle changes, or simply waiting it out, but nothing’s really changed, and now you feel unsure about what to do next.

SEX SHOULDN’T FEEL LIKE A TEST YOU’RE AFRAID TO FAIL.

Every man’s experience is different, so our work starts with a thorough assessment of your sexual history, relationship context, and current symptoms. From there, we may incorporate:

  • Mindfulness-based strategies to redirect anxious or negative thinking in the moment
  • Education about sexual functioning and common myths about performance
  • Exercises that can improve erections and help you feel more present
  • Communication strategies to support you in talking about sex with a partner

You don’t need to be in a relationship to benefit from sex therapy. However, if you are partnered, involving them in sessions can be a way to strengthen emotional and sexual intimacy and reduce the pressure you may be feeling on your own.

Your sexual health matters, and seeking support is an investment in your health and wellness. Together, we can work toward a sex life that feels natural, satisfying, and under your control.

frequently asked questions:

Not necessarily. Your goals and needs always lead the way. While we’ll definitely explore any sexual concerns in depth, we may also address the emotional, relational, or health-related issues connected to them.

Erectile dysfunction, performance anxiety, and other sexual concerns don’t just affect older men or those with medical issues. In fact, many of my clients are in their 20s or 30s and feel confused and frustrated about why this is happening. You’re not alone. These challenges are often linked to stress, anxiety, relationship dynamics, negative past experiences, or even unrealistic expectations shaped by pornography or cultural messages. I’m here to help you sort through all of that and start building a healthier, more connected experience with sex.
